A co-con of FanimeCon, both events will be taking place at the San Jose Convention Center!

Artist galleries, Bartitsu demonstrations, dancing, music by the vaudevillian robots of Steam Powered Giraffe, and so much more!

1940s London. The Americans have just joined the war and have sent over swing maestro Lee Presson & the Nails to raise our spirits!

There also seems to be a mysterious Doctor and a Captain Jack Something-or-other milling about. Are they Nazi spies? Or are they pursuing some other agenda?

Dance lessons from 7 to 8. Ball gets into full swing (get it?) from 8 to midnight.

06/15-16/2013 - Northern California Pirate Festival at Vallejo Waterfront!

The Pirate Festival enters its 7th year!

The largest pirate-themed festival in the United States and featuring actors and vendors from across Northern California (and further abroad), come down to wench and plunder and pillage, me hearties!

Tickets for adults are $10 at the gate (children 11 and under are free) this year to help cover improvements to the festival in the coming years!

If you want to help them out some more, support the Kickstarter before April 30th!

Mr. M's favorite gothic salon/club strikes again!

This night rejoins core Solace DJs Persephone and Darkmoon for a night of gothic and ambient music, polite conversation, excellent company, diverting dancing, lovely cocktails, and probably some tasty treat or other.

As always, gothic dress code is enforced: no jeans or sneakers allowed within these hallowed halls!



07/27-28/2013 - Steamstock at the Craneway Pavilion (Richmond)

The second installment of last years positively AMAZING Steamstock strikes once again at the old Ford Motor Factory that is now the Craneway Pavilion! This time FOR TWO DAYS!!!!

Vendors galore, along with performances by: Mr. B the Gentleman Rhymer (Straight out of Surrey, UK), Frenchy and the Punk, Psyche Corp, This Way to the Egress, Good Co, The Cog is Dead, Unextraordinary Gentlemen, Poplock Holmes, 5 Cent Coffee, Vagabondage, Brass Farthing, Victoria and the Vaudevillains, Hobo Goblins, Parlor Tricks, and many more!!!

It's a BYOF luncheon that starts at 11 a.m. with music and dancing running from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission is free. All you have to do is dress up and show up!

Classic British goth rockers the Mission UK will be hitting SF in September on their "Keeping the Faith" tour.

Spun off from Sisters of Mercy in the mid-80s, the band is hitting the road one more time.

No word on other acts at this time.

Doors open at 8. Show starts at 9.

Tickets start at $29.50 (plus fees) and go up to $43 (plus fees).

This is an all-ages event!

09/26/2013 - Depeche Mode and Crystal Castles at Shoreline (Mountain View)

11/02/2013 - Le Bal des Vampires at the Alameda Elks Lodge

PEERS annual Night of the living Undead.

Contredances, waltzes, and mazurkas upstairs in the ballroom accompanied by Bangers & Mash; with modern dark music of the night downstairs at the Nightfall Club spun by DJs Dark Moon and Persephone.

Come dressed as your favorite immortal from whatever age of history you were "reborn to darkness" in.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m, along with the Nightfall Club downstairs.

Dancing lessons begin at 7 p.m. upstairs with formal dancing starting up around 7:45 p.m. and going until the Witching Hour.

Unlike most PEERS events, tickets to le Bal des Vampires must be bought in advance. No tickets will be available at the door.

If you get them before September, tickets run around $20, but range up to $30 the later you wait. So, immortal or not, don't wait around too long.
